Founder: Tay Tze Yong and his wife, Lam Choi Suan founded INTODESIGN Lab in 2009, a multi-disciplinary design studio in Kuching. Together with Sim Siok Pheng, the studio offers architecture education and architectural design specializing in schools, institutions, and playscapes, with an interest in crafting spaces for learning and creative play. They are passionate in designing furniture toys, playscapes, and schools, and have received architectural awards and recently initiated community projects at schools, and even founded their own cardboard furniture brand, UP2U. They also organize multiple events, such as Cardboard City with PAMSC, and conduct workshops that promote children’s creative learning environments through architecture design and installations. Apart from INTODESIGN Lab, Tay is also a Design Director for PDC Design Group and a part-time lecturer for architectural design at UNIMAS.
Co-Founder: Lam Choi Suan is an architect in practice, a mother in life who enjoys nurturing their 3 kids and getting inspired by their genuine creations and inventions.
Co-Founder: Sim Siok Pheng an architect, children's storyteller, and supporter of green living.
